A MAN has admitted possessing a kitchen knife and loaded crossbow in public.
Peter Stevens, 46, had the items in his possession on Lord Street in Millom on September 25.
He admitted possessing an offensive weapon and possessing a knife when he appeared at Workington Magistrates’ Court.
Stevens also pleaded guilty to theft from a shop and common assault of an emergency worker on the same date.
The defendant, of Lord Street, Millom, stole a bottle of Jaegermeister from the town’s Tesco supermarket.
The case was committed to Carlisle Crown Court for sentence on November 10. A pre-sentence report is being prepared by the probation service.
