Penrith and Carlisle's DTec Computers has won the 'Best Independent Retailer' in the UK at this year's PCR Awards.
The established computer sales and repair company was recognised at the ceremony held in London on September 21.
“Sharing the awards evening with our peers and some of the biggest names in the industry made receiving a PCR award all the more special," said Steve Barker, owner of DTec Computers.
"It wasn’t just recognition of DTec’s achievements but a salute to the collaborative nature of the industry."
With fierce competition, DTec stood out among three other UK retailers shortlisted in the 'Best Independent Retailer' category.
The PCR Awards spoke of the significance of the awards, stating: "The PCR Awards are back to honour the incredible companies operating in the UK PC and tech industry. From distributors and resellers to retailers and vendors, it's crucial to reflect on the collective success of the sector.
"The PCR Awards 2023 provides a vital platform to recognise the hard work, dedication, and resilience shown over the past twelve months."
The awards, hosted by Jason Bradbury of BBC One's 'The Gadget Show', were attended by 500 people, including industry leaders and peers.
