The M6 is closed southbound following a 'serious collision' between junctions 42 and 41.
Traffic is reported to be diverted down the A6 to avoid a serious build up of traffic and northbound traffic is also slowing.
The incident is thought to have occurred at around 8:30pm on Monday, October 16.
