A farmhouse cafe in Cockermouth is inviting everybody to join in the spooky fun with a free Halloween trail in their newly decorated forest.
Wellington Farm Cafe and Tearooms, just off the A66, will be running the interactive Halloween trail, featuring plenty of ghouls and ghosts, until October 31.
Manager Debbie Stamper said: "We've done exhibitions to come with the trail. They're really amazing, some of the ghosts move, skeletons on pulleys.
"It's really clever... people so far have really enjoyed it. We've not seen too many people crying so it can't be too terrifying!
"It was something to keep everybody occupied during half term for a bit of fun, people can come and spend as long as they like," she said.
Debbie thanked Peter Skillen, who has worked his magic to transform the forest into a series of imaginative and spooky decorations and installations for visitors to enjoy.
"Last year we had so many lovely comments about Peter's work, so we wanted to do it again.
"And I suppose it has been getting bigger this year," she said.
Those interested in taking part can simply stop by the cafe to pick up a trail sheet.
The goal of the trail is to find hidden letters along the way, which can then be unscrambled to form a spooky word in exchange for a treat at the cafe.
"It's totally free, you come, spend as long as you like, find the spooky word and then return it back to the cafe," Debbie said.
For those looking to enjoy more than just the trail, given the popularity of the event, the café recommends booking during the half-term period, as it can get busy at times.
Reservations can be made by calling 01900 822777 between 10am and 4.30pm or by sending a message to the cafe on social media.
