Serving a slice of support and socialisation, Lanercost House care home invites the local community to their monthly Carers café.
The cafes take place on the first Wednesday of every month from 2pm.
In the cosy setting of this Barchester Healthcare facility, community members can mingle with other carers of those living with dementia.
Visitors can enjoy a spot of free social respite, while gaining the chance to chat with the home's team about any care-related enquiries.
General Manager Janette Lawrence, said: “We’re really looking forward to making more friends in our local community. The condition itself can be quite lonely and frightening, and the more support we can provide to each other, the better.
"Our team here at Lanercost House. If anyone is unable to make it on the day but would like to pop in for a tour and a cup of tea, our doors are always open.”
The home's varied life enrichment programme provides daily activities catering to the versatile interests and abilities of its 93 residents.
Barchester Healthcare provides respite care as well as long term stays for those requiring nursing and dementia care.
