A man has suffered serious injuries following an assault by a man on a mountain bike.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses to the assault that occurred on Saturday, November 4 between 3.30pm and 4pm on the river footpath to the rear of Robert Ferguson Primary School, Carlisle.
During the incident, a man and woman were assaulted by man who was on a mountain bike.
The man suffered serious injuries, the woman was uninjured.
The cyclist is described as in their 50’s, stocky build and was wearing glasses, a blue puffa jacket and jeans.
