HERE are our Pets of the Week, courtesy of Oak Tree Animals' Charity.

Laddie

This is our handsome chap, Laddie. He is a 2-year-old German Terrier who is on the lookout for a special home.

Being originally bred to work, this guy has lots of energy to burn. Taking him for just a long walk will not satisfy this little guy's energy or mind. Laddie will need owners who are keen to challenge him mentally with either a dog sport or lots of engaging mental activities. Laddie has shown a great aptitude for scent work while with us so would love to continue this in his new home.

Ideally, Laddie would prefer a quieter home with limited external noise, which would allow him to settle. He must be the only pet in the home and cannot live with children.

Potential adopters must be prepared to make multiple visits and be willing to carry on with positive reinforcement techniques. We recommend adopters continue working with a qualified positive reinforcement trainer post-adoption. Oak Tree’s Training and Behavioural Team will provide ongoing support.

If you are looking for a wee active, tenacious, and intelligent companion who will keep you busy, then get in touch!

News and Star: Nancy Nancy (Image: Oak Tree Animal Charity)

Nancy

This sweet girl has lived outside with multiple cats on a farm, but she would now love to find a warm loving home. As she has lived outside, she needs outdoor access but not too close to busy roads. She could live with another cat and a dog if there are successful scent transfers.

Nancy could live with young children who understand that she may not always want to play and needs her own space.
