Exciting violin and accordion duo ADLibitum are set to perform inside the grounds of Carlisle Cathedral early next year.
Married couple Andrea and Djordje Gajic comprise the eclectic duo, with both recognised as extremely proficient artists in their solo careers.
Together, they have given concerts in Scotland, England, Serbia, and the Victoria International Arts Festival in Gozo, Malta.
Violinist Andrea Gajic received her early musical training at St Mary’s Music School, Edinburgh, before moving to Moscow in 1990 to study for five years at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music.
Djordje Gajic began his musical studies in Serbia at the age of six, graduating from the Russian Academy of Music in 1993 with a Master of Music degree and the Honorary Title of Solo Performer.
Their performance at the Fratry Hall will include the music of Alfred Schnitke, Antonio Vivaldi, Arvo Pärt, Pablo de Sarasate, Alexei Arkhipovsky, and Astor Piazzolla.
They perform in Carlisle on Thursday, January 18 at 7.30pm.
