A DRINK-DRIVER who was more than twice the limit has been banned from the roads for 20 months.
Steven Bragg, 50, was driving a Vauxhall Insignia on Newlands Lane in Workington on October 22.
A breath test showed he had 75mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The limit to drive is 35mcg.
Bragg, of Douglas Road, Workington, pleaded guilty to driving with alcohol level above the limit.
Magistrates sitting in Workington banned the defendant from driving for 20 months, to be reduced by 20 weeks if he completes the drink-driver’s rehabilitation course.
He was fined £420 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £168 surcharge to fund victim services.
