A WEST Cumbrian man who had a sword at his home has admitted being in possession of an offensive weapon.
Thomas Clough, 36, changed his plea to guilty when he was due to stand trial at Workington Magistrates’ Court on Friday for possessing an offensive weapon in a private place.
Clough had the sword at his home address in Bromley Street, Workington, on June 13.
Magistrates ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the sword. Bromley was fined £108. He must pay £500 costs and a £43 surcharge to fund victim services.
