A SOUTH Cumbrian road has re-opened after being closed for three hours due to a fallen tree in the area.
Westmorland and Furness Council reported early this evening that the A65 was closed at Gatebeck due to a tree fallen on the road.
The council highways teams have worked hard to clear the road which has now re-opened three hours after the initial closure.
A Westmorland and Furness Highways spokesman said: "Within 3 hours of being notified of a large number of fallen trees covering the A65 at Gatebeck Junction, the road now clear and open.
"If travelling in the area, pass with care as the road still needs to be leaf blown to remove remaining debris and sawdust."
