For today's Nostalgia edition we will be taking a look back at what life was like in Brampton in the 1960s.

We've searched through our archives to find some amazing photos of life in the North Cumbrian town at the time.

The town is close to Carlisle and Hadrian's Wall and is a great place to explore the countryside and history of the border region.

It is said to have historically significant and culturally important sites. The town and the surrounding areas boast a range of businesses and attractions.

The town is surrounded by the rolling countryside of the Irthing Valley and Geltsdale and leads onto the North Pennines.

The countryside is made up of woods, moorland fields, footpaths and bridleways and is often a place visited for those who enjoy hiking.

Hadrian's Wall which is close to the town runs from the Solway Firth to Wallsend-on-Tyne and signified the northern frontier of the Roman Empire.

There are forts, milecastles and turrets that run along the route and the whole wall makes for a great adventure for those that are interested in history.
