Police are investigating the theft of hundreds of pounds worth of items from a Cumbrian Asda supermarket.

They released images of two people they are seeking to identify as part of the investigation.

A spokesperson from Cumbria Constabulary said: "On October 24, a man and a woman entered the store in St Nicholas Gate at around 12.40pm and made off with items worth around £500.

"Police would like to speak with the people pictured, as they believe they can assist with their investigation.

"They are both believed to be Eastern European and in their mid-20s."
