A TRIAL date has been set in the case of a Carlisle man who denied heroin and cocaine supply crimes.

Dean Michael Kerr, 35, pleaded not guilty to two charges when he appeared at the city’s crown court this morning (Wednesday).

These allege that Kerr was concerned in supplying controlled class A drugs heroin and cocaine to another.

It is said that he did this between September 28 and October 20 this year.

Kerr, previously of Carlisle but now of no fixed address, is due to stand trial in front of a crown court jury. This hearing is due to start in the week of April 8 next year, and last around two days.

In the meantime, Kerr was remanded in custody.
