A mountain rescue team was called out to assist a walker who had slipped.
The person was walking around Crummock Water when they had slipped on a path.
Cockermouth MRT helped them back to safety.
A spokesperson said: "We were called to a walker who’d slipped on the very icy path around Crummock Water, fracturing both their ankle and their wrist.
"The team treated them at the scene, administering pain relief and splinting the injuries, and then carried them a short distance to the North West Air Ambulance."
