A walker sparked a mountain rescue alert after posting about being lost on social media.
The lone hiker had lost his way around Scafell in Cumbria around 5.28pm, November 28.
Alerted by a concerned family member, Cumbria Police contacted Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team (MRT).
However, by 7.33pm, the walker had managed to navigate his way off the fell.
The alert was then stood down.
The MRT suggested using the three-check system before setting off, ensuring suitable gear, being aware of weather conditions and having enough knowledge and skills for the journey.
