Traffic has cleared at a major city centre junction after reports of an accident.
There were reports of heavy traffic at Hardwicke Circus due to an accident on the roundabout.
The accident comes after temperatures dropped to below freezing in Carlisle overnight leading to a widespread frost.

"Please take extra care on the roads this morning," said Cumbria Police.
"The temperature overnight was sub-freezing for most of the county so roads are liable to be icy and slippery.
"Make sure you adjust your speed and driving accordingly. Let's make sure everyone reaches their destination safely."
