TO ENHANCE response capabilities, fire crews from across Cumbria joined forces for a simulated property fire training exercise.
Crews from Cockermouth, Keswick and Maryport combined for the breathing apparatus (BA) exercise last night (November 29).
The simulated scenario involved a property fire with 4-5 persons unaccounted for.
A spokesperson from Cockermouth Fire & Rescue said: "This gave us the opportunity to carry out our vital training together in dry smoke and an unfamiliar building testing our breathing apparatus skills and using some of the state-of-the-art equipment we have including our thermal image cameras."
