CUMBRIA Police have renewed their driving and car safety warnings following heavy snowfall across the county.
The guidance outlines that the roads are liable to be icy and slippery. The yellow weather warning issued for the area until 12.00 today states that "icy patches are likely overnight leading to difficult travel conditions."
The Police have also told road users to make sure to adjust their speed and drive in accordance with the weather.
The guidance also tells people to not leave their car unattended in the morning whilst defrosting. The Police said earlier: "Every winter we see cars stolen from driveways after being left unattended to thaw out."
Cumbria Police said: "Let's make sure everyone reaches their destination safely."
