Tributes have been paid to a woman who died after a car crash in Cumbria last week.

Eileen Kelly, from Crosby Ravensworth, suffered multiple injuries in the fatal crash between her car and a van on the C3060 and B6260 roads near Maulds Meaburn on November 29.

Aged 68, she was well known by the local community and surrounding areas, and liked playing bingo.

She was the former partner of Harold Metcalfe, and mother to two sons Robert and Darren.

She was loved dearly by her sons and mainly cared for her oldest son, Robert, due to his disability.

Eileen, who worked at Newton Rigg, and most recently Morland Primary School as a mid-day supervisor, will be deeply missed by the community of Crosby Ravensworth.

Cumbria police said they would like to thank those who assisted at the scene to help Eileen and the emergency services.

An investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
