The Rosley Village Hall will culminate a buoyant year of Irish Country Music shows with a performance by acclaimed singer Shawn Cuddy.

Shawn, a native of County Laois, recently marked over three decades of worldwide tours with his band.

Event organiser Adele Egglestone said: “Shawn has been appearing at Rosley for nearly 30 years, and has become a well-known name throughout Cumbria.

"We can guarantee that his high energetic show, bringing together the favourite Irish country songs the Rosley audience love, plus Shawn’s wit and Irish charm, will have everyone tapping their feet, dancing and singing along.

"2023 has been a successful year for the Irish music shows at Rosley, and we look forward to celebrating our end of year Christmas show with Shawn.

"We’re pleased to announce that we have a full year of entertainment booked for 2024 and we will kick off the new year with a St Patrick’s Day Hooley on 17 March with the multi-talented Stephen Smyth Band.”

From touring with Johnny Cash and June Carter in 1989 to a concert tour with Foster and Allen in 1990, Shawn’s career trajectory is studded with experiences that have shaped him into a distinguished entertainer.

Shawn, a household name in Ireland, England, and Scotland, has won the admiration of numerous fans through his commitment to his craft, adding more than twenty award-winning albums and DVDs to his impressive catalogue.

The highly anticipated end-of-year celebration is set for December 17, with doors opening at 7pm and the show scheduled to start at 8pm.
