A beloved independent bookshop is gearing up to spread Christmas cheer with a special discount event and quiz night.
Carlisle's Bookends, on Castle Street, will be running the event on Thursday, December 14.
Book enthusiasts and gift seekers alike are invited to take advantage of the extended hours until 8pm on the 14.
During the hours of 5-8pm, customers can enjoy a 10 per cent discount on all books excluding the selection in the Antiquarian room, making it the perfect opportunity to find a thoughtful Christmas gift.
Adding to the evening, the bookshop will host a quiz from 7-7.30 pm, promising a delightful challenge for book lovers.
Sweetening the deal, Macmillan Collectors Edition books will be up for grabs. Third place wins one book, second place wins three books and first place wins five books.
