PUPILS at a West Cumbrian school were treated to a visit by firefighters.
Cumbria Fire and Rescue paid a visit to Bransty Primary School in Whitehaven.
The children at the school got a chance to see all of the equipment that the fire crews use.
The pupils had recently passed a firework safety advice session and this was done as a thank you to the school and the pupils.
Fire crews paid them a visit on Tuesday, December 5.
A spokesperson said: "The Mini Police at Bransty Primary School had a visit from CFRS Whitehaven Red Watch. This was a reward session to say thank you for the children's hard work in passing on firework safety advice to the whole school community in the run-up to bonfire night.
"They learned all about the appliance, the equipment that is carried, as well as the role of a firefighter.
"The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thank you to the crew for giving up your time to support the Mini Police scheme."
