THE 10th anniversary of the Carlisle Skills Fair, which will include multiple sponsors and organisations will take place on January 25, 2 to 6.30pm at Carlisle College.
Sponsors participating include global snack manufacturers, Pladis, local financial firm the Cumberland Building Society, and national house builders, Persimmon.
At present, over 70 businesses and organisations—including supporters like Inspira, Carlisle College, Cumberland Council, Jobcentre Plus Carlisle, Lakes College, University of Cumbria, and training providers such as Gen 2, JTL, PHX, and Systems People—have signed up to participate in the event.
Commenting John Stevenson MP said: “I am always grateful to local businesses and organisations for the huge amount of support for the Carlisle Skills Fair. Our 2024 skills fair will see more employers and training providers attending than ever before and it’s still not too late to sign up for a place. The last few spaces for exhibitors still remain and businesses can book a place by contacting office@johnstevensonmp.co.uk.
For young people, and those looking to return to work or change careers this is the place to have informal conversations with local experts who can give good quality advice and guidance on the employment and training options available in the Carlisle area, now and in the future.”
