The countdown to the next Cumberland Annual Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Conference is on.

Expected to return in January 2024, the event is organised by Cumberland Council, in collaboration with the University of Cumbria.

The conference, set for Thursday 11 and Friday 12 January, will be held at the Learning Gateway, Fusehill Street Campus at the University of Cumbria.

The agenda is to facilitate sharing professional best practices and the latest research and developments in SEND.

Attendees comprising educators, health professionals, and SEND-specific colleagues will be hearing from nationally acclaimed speakers, participating in workshops, visiting local and national exhibitor stalls, along with opportunities for networking.

The conference, formerly hosted by Cumbria County Council, was a successful venture in January 2023.

It was completely sold out and almost a hundred colleagues were in attendance from around the county.
