Staff members from Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service recently visited the children's ward at Cumberland Infirmary to deliver gifts before Christmas.
Chief fire officer Rick Ogden was joined by Red Watch from Carlisle East Fire Station and Carlisle West Fire Station for the special Christmas delivery of over 50 gifts that had been kindly donated by staff from across the fire service over the past month.
They wrote: "We have had the privilege of visiting the children’s ward at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, to deliver gifts to the young people spending the festive period in hospital.
"We also presented some goodies to the ward’s staff who work so incredibly hard to care for our children.
"Thank you to North Cumbria Integrated Care and the Children’s Ward for such a warm welcome and we wish you all a very merry Christmas."
