A popular Cumbrian establishment has confirmed that it will be closed for the next three months as it undergoes a renovation.
The Brackenrigg Inn and Brewery, in Ullswater, was sold for £2.1million to hotel group Another Place in April 2023.
On January 2, 2024 the pub confirmed on Facebook that it would be closed until April 22 as it begins a renovation process.
The post read: "We're giving our local pub, The Brackenrigg Inn, a new lease of life in spring 2024.
"Armchairs by the fire; cold beers on the sunny lake-view terrace. Reliving the day’s adventures; poring over maps to plan tomorrow; sharing routes and insider knowledge at the bar… And with seven ensuite rooms, meadows and expansive views across the lake and fells, locals and walkers alike can expect a warm welcome.
"Our friends at Another Place hotels, just a short walk down the hill, took over The Brackenrigg last year.
"It's now closed for a few months while we renovate ready to open on April 22, when it will be part of the Another Place family.
"Guests staying at The Brackenrigg will have full use of everything on offer at Another Place including the swimming pool, lake sports sessions, Kids’ Zone and three restaurants. We’re taking bookings from April 22, 2024."
