A DRINK-DRIVER who was more than twice the limit has been banned from getting behind the wheel for 21 months.
Kim Allan, 67, had been driving an orange Suzuki Swift on Preston Street in Whitehaven when the offence took place on December 14.
A breath test showed the defendant had 84mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit to drive is 35mcg.
Allan, of Schoolhouse Court, Whitehaven, pleaded guilty to driving with alcohol level above the limit, when she appeared at Workington Magistrates’ Court.
The defendant was banned from driving for 21 months, to be reduced by 21 weeks, if she completes the drink-drivers’ rehabilitation course.
She was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £48 victim surcharge.
