CARLISLE Cathedral has announced it will be running weekly free concerts and recitals, with all the public invited to attend.
The series of musical performances will run every Wednesday until March 27.
The inaugural event will be an organ recital featuring Edward Taylor on January 31, at 2pm.
The cathedral and Fratry Hall will be the backdrop for these events.
All events are open to the public without any admission charges, allowing everyone to experience the performances without any financial barriers.
However, in support of the cathedral and the featured artists, a voluntary collection will be conducted after each concert.
In February, the venue will feature performances from Jill Crossland, David T. Shingler and Dunelm Duo.
Come March, performances will feature cellist Kenneth Wilson, Tim Beattie and Ciambra Trio.
