BT will be hosting events in West Cumbria to help people adjust to landlines going digital.
Digital Voice is coming to the area which means that landlines will need to go digital by 2025.
Events have already been held in Cockermouth and this week there will be two events held in Whitehaven.
Members of the public will be given the chance to find out more information about Digital Voice and how it will affect them.
They will be given a chance to speak with a member of the team at BT and the events have been supported by Cumberland Council.
A spokesperson said: "Landlines in the UK are going digital by 2025.
"BT is hosting the following events as an opportunity for you to chat with their expert team about what Digital Voice is, why the change is necessary, and what it means for you.
"You don’t have to pre-book, just turn up."
Two events will be held at Whitehaven Library on Lowther Street on January 12 and 15 between 10am and 4pm.
