Folk will be able to get their hands on a rare collection of Beatles and Paul McCartney’s Wings memorabilia as it goes under the hammer at an auction.
Among the standout items at the Laidlaw Auctioneers and Valuers auction are books and letters signed by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, which are predicted to spark the interest of the Fab Four’s loyal fan base.
From a Carlisle consignee, the Beatles items were collected by a cameraman who had the opportunity to work close quarters with Paul McCartney and his band, Wings.
Noteworthy pieces are two signed books by John Lennon titled 'In His Own Write' and 'A Spaniard In The Works'.
The signed books are estimated to fetch £1,000-£2,000 and £600-£1,000 respectively.
There is also a silver presentation egg cup that was given to the cameraman by Paul and Linda McCartney as a token of gratitude for his work during a recording session.
The auction will include a superb collection of 18th Century twist-stem wine glasses, part of a consignment from the estate of a Manchester collector.

The auctioneer Paul Laidlaw from Laidlaw Auctioneers and Valuers, who has a flair for spotting the value in Georgian glassware, said: "These glasses are the epitome of Georgian elegance and are a joy to handle".
Mr Laidlaw himself previously purchased an early Georgian glass item at a mere £1 on The Antiques Road Trip and went on to sell it for almost £400.
The auction will also showcase a lifetime’s collection of Great War militaria, brought in by a passionate husband-and-wife duo from Dorset.
The highlight of this collection is the nurse’s medal group of Miss J L MacKenzie of the Almeric Paget Military Massage Corps, a pioneering British physiotherapy service of the First World War.
The medals are expected to sell for between £500-£1,000.
Also up for grabs is an impressive 18ct gold Oyster Perpetual Day-Date Rolex wristwatch, complete with a bark-textured president bracelet, box and documents.
The luxury timepiece is estimated to reach bids between £6,000-£8,000.
Laidlaw Auctioneers and Valuers are holding this extensive sale, made up of approximately 1,800 lots, from January 25 to 27.
Bidder participation is encouraged both in-person and online via thesaleroom.com.
