THIS week a road closure will be in place in West Cumbria.
Senhouse Street in Maryport is closed from today, Monday, January 29.
This is so Cumberland Council will be able to enhance facilities in the area.
A spokesperson said: "Starting on Monday, January 29, 2024, Senhouse Street in Maryport will undergo exciting upgrades to enhance parking and public spaces.
"The closure will last up to six weeks, focusing on the stretch from Curzon Street to Crosby Street, impacting access to Furnace Lane and the side road by Gregg's.
"For hassle-free access to the lower end of Senhouse Street, we recommend parking at Mill Street Car Park.
"Your patience and cooperation during this period are greatly appreciated."
