A MAN has appeared in court accused of stealing more than £84,000 from the plumbing business he was working for.
Dale Hooper, 38, of John Street, Workington, is accused of stealing £84,369 from CHP Supplies Ltd in Workington while he was an employee.
The offence is alleged to have taken place between September 2020 and February 2023.
Hooper appeared at Workington Magistrates Court on Monday to face a charge of theft by an employee.
The case was sent to Carlisle Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on February 26.
Hooper was granted unconditional bail.
