THE opening date for a new Carlisle coffee shop and sweet treat cafe has been confirmed.
The Buttered Cat, which was announced in November 2023, will open in Kinmont Arcade facing out into Treasury Court in the unit that was previously occupied by I Love Cafe on Tuesday, March 5.
The menu and opening hours of The Buttered Cat are also set to be revealed in the near future, with the cafe confirming the updates on social media.
They said: "We are excited to say we are opening on the first Tuesday in March, which will be the 5th.
"Keep your eyes peeled for more updates as we are almost ready to release our menu and opening hours"
The Buttered Cat's owner Andrew Davenport, speaking previously, expressed his excitement about fulfilling his dream of becoming a cafe owner.
He said: "I’m excited to open a new business in an industry I’ve been learning about and always been an avid fan of, who doesn’t enjoy a good cup of coffee?"
