A SHOPLIFTER has been fined for stealing candles and laundry products from a discount store.
Peter Gibbon, 37, stole laundry products worth £60 from Home Bargains in Whitehaven on December 29.
He then went back to the store on January 13 and stole candles and laundry products, to the value of £54.
Gibbon, of Newlands Lane South, Workington, pleaded guilty to two charges of theft from a shop.
Magistrates sitting in Workington fined him £120 and ordered him to pay £85.63 in compensation to Home Bargains.
He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £96 victim surcharge.
