Police have handed out over 70 speeding tickets to people last week.
This is part of their neighbourhood policing week and saw cops target problem areas they identified in Carlisle.
These problem areas were Cumwhinton Road, Brampton Road, Wigton Road, Moorhouse Road, London Road, Dalston Road, Dalston Village, Wigton Village, and Carlisle bypass.
This involved a speed camera van op as well as officers using speed guns.
The van recorded the most speeding on Carlisle bypass, and the most speeding offences in Carlisle were reported on Brampton Road and Moorhouse Road.
In total, 74 tickets were issued, including one to a driver travelling 55mph in a 30mph zone.
A police spokesperson said: “We will continue to target these areas and drivers who break the speed limit.”
