A Carlisle salon owner is ‘delighted’ after she picked up a prestigious gong at the Northern Enterprise Awards.

Beth Dobson, the owner of Changes in Carlisle, won the Best Laser and Aesthetic Salon - North West award in a first for the salon.

Changes specialises in laser therapy, all aspects of laser dermatology, laser hair removal and tattoo removal treatments.

“It all came kind of out of the blue,” said Beth.

“I kind of knew round about November time but my award has literally just arrived within the last week or so which was amazing.

Beth opened Changes seven years ago but has worked in the industry since leaving school.

“I've done beauty for more than 25 years since I school,” said Beth.

“I was lucky enough to win a quite big award in 2016 and it’s just so nice to be recognised and shortlisted for these awards.

“I'm lucky that I have such lovely customers. Some people travel for more than an hour to see me so I'm just so grateful that they choose to come to me.”
