United Utilities has announced the launch of its apprentice recruitment campaign, bringing with it over 90 job opportunities.
This year, roles will open up across various locations within the region including Carlisle, Barrow, Workington, and Kendal.
As National Apprenticeship Week commences, the water company for the North West has revealed that roles from scientist and project controller to mechanical and electrical engineer are available.
It also includes vacancies for customer service advisors, data analysts, and even an assistant town planner.
In line with its pledge, United Utilities will create 7,000 new jobs across Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire, Cumbria, and Greater Manchester by 2030.
Project Controls apprentice Katrina Clark, who is in the third year of a level 3 apprenticeship, said: "A big benefit of an apprenticeship at United Utilities is that when you pass successfully, you will have a job at the end.
"I’ve almost completed my apprenticeship and I already know what role I am going into.
"As well as gaining qualifications, I’ve also developed other skills and my confidence has grown."
Recruitment is open until March 3 and the successful applicants will join the company in September.
