PATTERDALE'S Mountain Rescue Team has been called to attend to their second lower leg injury handling within three days.
Both the Northwest Ambulance Service and Cumbria Police tasked the team to assist a woman.
She had slipped whilst walking in Fusedale with her husband on February 5.
15 team members attended and applied first-aid procedures.
The injured woman was then transported to Pooley Bridge and handed over to an ambulance crew.
In similar circumstances, on February 3, another woman took a slip above Scalehow Force, on the south side of Ullswater.
Once the team arrived on the fell, the casualty’s injuries were assessed before she was splinted.
The casualty and her companion were then transported back to Sandwick where an ambulance was waiting to take her to hospital for further treatment.
