THE council is preparing its fleet of gritters for snow this week.
A yellow weather warning has been issued for snow with most parts of Cumbria expected to be affected.
The icy conditions are expected to be affecting the area on Thursday, February 8.
Cumberland Council is preparing for this by sending out their gritters to make the roads safer for drivers and pedestrians.
A spokesperson said: "We gearing up for the next few days as the Met Office has issued a yellow snow warning from Thursday.
"We are fully loaded and prepared to hit the road."
