CUMBRIA Police is warning drivers that the Kirkstone Pass, A592, is being affected by heavy snow.
According to Westmorland and Furness Highways, the road is closed between Brotherswater on the Eden side and the summit until it is reassessed tomorrow morning.
People have been warned that the disruption from snow and ice may continue through Thursday night and during Friday as the yellow weather warning remains in place.
