A 71-year-old man collapsed whilst in the Thirlmere area, prompting a quick response from emergency services.
Keswick Mountain Rescue Team and the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) were called to the collapsed man in High Park Wood after he felt dizzy during his walk today (February 8).
The man's companion managed to guide him to a nearby bench until help arrived.
The MRT prepared him for a short stretcher journey to a waiting ambulance.
The team expressed appreciation to the Langdale Ambleside MRT member who happened to be at the scene.
The rescue operation involved 14 team members and took 1 hour and 23 minutes.
