A CARLISLE Crown Court jury has returned not guilty verdicts on a raft of historic sexual allegations that were made against a west Cumbrian man.
Paul Clark, 49, had denied eight counts of indecent assault against a girl aged under 14; and an indecent assault on a girl aged under 16. He also faced two allegations of rape.
After a three-day trial, the jury cleared him of all the charges he faced.
Court papers show that the charges related to alleged events in west Cumbria during the 1990s.
The defendant has previously been listed as living in an area of Workington.
