IN this edition of nostalgia, we are looking back at some of the dogs that have lived in north Cumbria and what they got up to.
Our pets are often the most treasured things in our home, their unconditional loves makes them just as much of a family member as anyone else. These photos from our archives bear out the truth of that statement.
From the wandering dog on the roof of the Prince of Wales, in Denton Holme, Carlisle in 1973 to the dog in the doorway of the barber's shop in Caldewgate, Carlisle in 1979 who patiently waits for a hair trim.
One photo shows the winner of the local class at Brampton sheepdog trials, and another shows two of the entries in the Border Terrier Show at Carlisle's Market Hall in 1969.
