A Surrey couple who have been to every Wetherspoons pub in the UK have ranked Keswick's Chief Justice of the Common Pleas in their top five - due to its carpet.
Alan and Agnes Forbes embarked on their quest to visit every Spoons eight years ago.
Having completed visits to all 900 pubs, the duo listed their top five favourites when it came to cataloguing the many carpets the bars and restaurants are home to.
The former court in Keswick has nabbed the fifth-place spot.
Tops spots were taken by The Man in the Moon on the Isle of Wight and Edinburgh's Caley Picture House.
Wetherspoon spokesman Eddie Gershon said: “ Alan and Agnes know a lot about Wetherspoon pubs as they have visited each and every one.
“The fact that they have placed The Chief Justice of the Common Pleas at number five shows just how much they enjoyed their visit there.
“The pub has some wonderful features and is very popular with locals and tourists alike.
“It is an important part of Keswick’s social scene and we look forward to it serving the community for many years to come.”
