Food and drink specialist, Cranstons, has made a sizeable donation to Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland.
Chris Russell, the manager of Cranstons Orton Grange Food Hall, presented a cheque for £3,304 to Hospice at Home corporate fundraiser, Kylie Palmer.
In December, Cranstons and Hospice at Home organised a 'Christmas Raffle', supported by Cranstons local producers.
Moreover, 50p from each Christmas Pudding sold, plus 50p per kilo of festive Marmalade Gammon, was also donated to Hospice at Home.
A share of overall profits was also donated.
"We are thrilled to continue supporting Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland," said Mr Russell.
"The entire Cranstons team is devoted to assisting the communities we are a part of.
"This donation is possible because of the generosity of our local suppliers and loyal customers."
Cranstons prides itself on being a positive community force, backing causes which improve local people's lives.
Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland is one of four charity partners who receive an annual profits' share donation.
Tynedale Hospice at Home, The Great North Air Ambulance, and Carlisle Youth Zone will also receive a share this year.
Ms Palmer said: "We are fortunate to receive the backing of businesses such as Cranstons.
"Our mission is to enhance quality of life for adults who have a palliative diagnosis, their families and carers.
"This is done through skilled, compassionate care and support at home.
"Our free to use service couldn’t continue without the crucial role played by business partners and volunteers.
"It is a testament to the shared belief that everyone deserves a choice and access to quality care within their community, and together we can ensure that Hospice at Home successfully fulfils our mission.”
Cranston also has a community fund, providing raffle prizes and sponsorship for hundreds of community events each year.
