IN this edition of Nostalgia, we are looking back at memories from Belle Vue school in Carlisle.
The primary school has been opened for 55 years this September. In 2019, to celebrate its 50th anniversary, Belle Vue Primary School, on Beaver Road, invited past and present pupils, parents, staff and governors to join them to celebrate 50 years of education on the Belle Vue site.
The pictures in this collection show memories back to 1969 as pupils were preparing for the harvest thanksgiving festival at Belle Vue primary school.
Other older memories show the Belle Vue Infant School nativity in 1993 and pupils preparing to set off from Belle Vue Junior School in 1974 on a school trip.
Into the 2000, Alison Hornby is pictured, who was one of the youngest deputy heads in the country.
