CUMBRIA'S only tattoo show and expo is gearing up for what they hope to be the 'best year yet'.
North Lakes Tattoo Show will be heading to the Old Fire Station on April 5 to April 7, as it enters its 14th year.
Organiser Colin Fell, who originally started his craft in 1980 with Carlisle's Mike's Tattoos, is excited to bring another roster of world-renowned artists to the city.
"The artists' spots were sold out in about two days," he said.
"With this being relatively a new venue, having been at the Sheppard Inn's previously, we've been building it up. All the little mistakes and teething problems should be behind us, this year should be the best."
Patrons can pre-book if there is a particular artist they want or walk-ins will be accepted on a first come first-served basis, offering a chance to get inked without the long waiting lists.
"Cumbrians come to this show to get tattooed. The artists can't believe how busy they are," he added.
"From Friday to Sunday, they are flat out from walk-ups to appointments.
"I'm really pleased to be able to have brought real talented tattoo artists to Carlisle. These people are world-renowned."
In addition to the tattoo services on offer, attendees can look forward to plenty of other attractions throughout the weekend, including live music from Phil Saunders, as well as drinks and refreshment stalls.
"There really is something for everyone.
"We have temporary tattoos for kids, body piercing, stallholders selling cakes and jewellery, as well as a company from Wigan that does tattoo-themed pottery," Colin said.
Tickets are currently on sale now on the run-up to the event, at a discounted rate.
