A CARLISLE restaurant is feeling 'absolutely thrilled' after being named in Britain's Good Food Guide.
Lounge On The Green, located in Houghton three miles outside of Carlisle, announced with jubilation its 'very good' rating on social media.
Created 14 years ago, the list is designed to celebrate the places that are central to the communities they serve across the UK.
It also recognises kitchens that cook fresh to order, offer creative, memorable dishes based on high-quality seasonal and local produce.
"Back in the kitchen with the lads today and feeling absolutely thrilled! After finding out that our restaurant has been included in The Good Food Guide on Sunday morning with a very good rating!
"It's an honour to be recognised for our hard work and dedication.
"Thank you to our amazing team and loyal customers for your support on this incredible journey.
"Cheers to many more memorable dining experiences," they said.
Cartmel's L'Enclume and The Cedar Tree at Farlam Hall were also named within the new addition of highly praised restaurants within Cumbria.
