TRIBUTES have been paid to a woman who lost her life in a car crash on February 13.
Melissa Delaney, 41, was identified as one of two fatalities following a crash on the A75.
Jane Hedley said: "Completely shattered and heartbroken, the ICU team are in deep shock. I worked with Mel for 18 years and I can’t remember a time on ICU when Mel wasn’t part of it and she was the life and soul of the place."
Natalie Piercy said: "Struggling to believe this is real, absolutely heartbreaking. Such a beautiful friend, full of fun always."
Adele Elizabeth Anderson added: "She was one of a kind. ITU won’t be the same without her. Thinking of everyone who knew and loved Mel."
Claire Robinson said: "The love shown for her over the last few days is testament to what the world is now missing."
Emma Hill said: "I’m going to miss you so much Mel, from the moment we met you were a friend," and Reshma Lobo said: "Lovely beautiful soul inside and out. Miss your smile Mel."
Becky Hayes commented: "You will be so greatly missed by everyone that had the honour of being around you."
Lyds Binns said Melissa was 'one of the best people and nurses I’ve ever met.'
Leanne Watson said: "Heartbreaking news. You lit up a room with your personality and you were an amazing nurse who made a difference in so many people's lives."
